My Story
I currently serve as a Clinician and Outreach/Marketing Coordinator with Mobile Counseling of New York, providing therapy to students in Buffalo Public Schools as well as adults, couples, and families across New York State through telehealth. My work focuses on emotional wellness, family dynamics, and community empowerment, helping individuals and families find strength and stability through life’s challenges.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University at Buffalo (SUNY) and my Bachelor’s in Psychology from The City College of New York (CUNY). My passion for social work began in my undergraduate years when I mentored at-risk youth in the Bronx and Harlem leading open, honest conversations on gang violence, family issues, and mental health. That experience showed me how deeply access and representation matter, especially for young people navigating systemic barriers.
As a bilingual clinician (English/Spanish), I see firsthand the disparities in mental health care for Hispanic and non-English-speaking families. Empower Wellness’ mission to enhance physical, mental, and emotional wellness deeply aligns with my personal and professional values because wellness isn’t just one thing. It’s holistic, inclusive, and rooted in community.
Over the next few years, I hope to help Empower Wellness expand its reach across Western New York, strengthen partnerships with schools and local organizations, and develop more bilingual, culturally responsive programs. My goal is to help create a more connected and inclusive community one where everyone, regardless of background or language, has access to the tools and support they need to heal and grow.
Outside of my work, you can find me dancing, singing, golfing, or redesigning a space in my home just for fun. I love art, travel, and any opportunity to infuse creativity into life.
A quote that inspires me daily is by Tupac Shakur:
“No matter how hard it gets, stick your chest out, keep your head up, and handle it.”
For me, this is a reminder that resilience is built in the quiet moments when we keep showing up — even when it’s hard. That’s the energy I bring to Empower Wellness and to every person I have the privilege to serve.
